Falcon Team Secures Hijacked Cargo Truck Near Kranspoort Pass

It started out as a high-stakes morning, proving once again that rapid mobilization and strong community backup are vital to keeping our roads safe.

When the alert went out that a white Isuzu FVM 1200 cargo truck carrying a massive haul of liquor had been hijacked, Falcon Security’s reaction team instantly jumped into action. As the situation unfolded rapidly near the notorious Kranspoort Pass, the hijackers realized they were running out of room to maneuver under the heavy pressure.

Securing the Scene

First responders arrived on the scene moments after the criminals abandoned the massive Isuzu truck on the roadside. Falcon Security’s tactical units arrived shortly thereafter, immediately integrating with the initial team to provide heavy backup, secure the perimeter, and assess the cargo.

Before fleeing the scene in a getaway vehicle, the hijackers had managed to slash open the cargo bay’s curtain-side door. In a frantic, rushed effort, they grabbed several cases of alcohol from the tightly packed pallets before making their escape.

Protecting the Fleet and Cargo

Despite the quick theft of a small portion of the stock, the rapid, coordinated arrival of security forces forced the suspects to abandon the vehicle before they could deplete or move the entire haul. The overwhelming majority of the high-value cargo was successfully preserved, and the fleet truck was recovered intact.

Our team remained on-site to assist first responders with securing the area, managing the scene, and ensuring the vehicle was safely handled. When it comes to defending our Middelburg and Kranspoort communities, effective backup and swift, proactive teamwork make all the difference.

Perimeter secured. Cargo protected. Another successful joint recovery.
